The Leaf Deer or Leaf Muntjac Muntiacus putaoensis

Little is known about this species that was only discovered in northern Myanmar in1997. It was confirmed as being a separate species though its DNA. It is one of the smallest of the Muntjac species, having a shoulder height of less than 50 cm. Its distribution and conservation status are unknown as of yet.
